The Main Hall, a landmark venue for grand moments

Set beneath a magnificent Victorian domed ceiling, the Main Hall is the largest and most iconic space in Millport Town Hall.

With excellent acoustics, a raised stage, and a flexible layout, it’s ideal for wedding receptions, concerts, theatre performances, community celebrations, and commercial events, and is even suitable for some sports and exercise classes. Whether you’re planning a one-off performance or a large gathering, the Main Hall offers a beautiful and adaptable setting.

Enquiries are already welcome, including for whole-building hire at a discounted rate.

Backstage Facilities

When hiring the Main Hall, users also have access to the Green Room, a private space for performers to change, relax, or prepare before going on stage. The Green Room connects directly to the backstage area via stairs and is available by request when booking the Main Hall.

If you’re hiring the Main Hall for a performance, celebration, or large event, you may also wish to include one of our smaller spaces. The Sitting Room makes an excellent breakout or reception area, while The Snug is ideal for quiet prep, dressing room use, or creative overflow.
